Rocket is a business simulation game that offers teams and individuals dynamic experiential learning in rich and challenging ways to understand how business and organisations work. We are the only re-seller of this technology in Scotland and one of only 3 so far in the UK.
The game itself consists of running a confectionery manufacturing business. There are four departments plus the managing director who make up the full team. Each department has duties that they must perform in order to keep the business running, as well as ideally generating profits, but they must also work together to learn how they all contribute to success overall and can’t continue to work in silos. The players will have four rounds of 26 minutes each, which equates to 6 months in the life of the business, making 2 years in total. After each round is completed there will be a 45-minute briefing session, where the players have the opportunity to assess their performance and identify ways in which to improve for the next round.
The game is incredibly versatile and as well as teambuilding, it can be used to demonstrate and identify communication skills, change and transformation management, procedures and planning whilst also creating commercial awareness. If you are aware of any specific issues within your team or organisation, we are confident that Rocket can help tackle and improve these. As Rocket is in the form of a ‘game’ it removes the need for entrenched positions and it’s a very neutral platform to use to identify and tackle real-life issues. The game is great fun to play, which was a huge selling point for us, but the learning is extremely rich and there are many worthwhile takeaways for all players. In the sessions that we’ve had so far there have been players from all walks of working life, so we are confident that there is a wide appeal and something to learn for everyone, not just those who already work in confectionery!
To allow you to experience the game and see how it might be beneficial to your team and/or organisation, we are running a series of taster sessions. These will consist of two rounds of the game in a half day session with a briefing session in between. The tasters are free to attend.
Next taster is scheduled for 27th March at Charwood, 47 Buckstone Terrace, Edinburgh
The following tasters are scheduled for:
11 May – The Spark, Glasgow
9 September – St Columba’s Hospice, Edinburgh
If you would be interested in attending a taster session please get in touch with us email@example.com. We’d be delighted to hear from you and identify how Rocket can benefit you and your team.
