Your Coach Sunna's Story...
The idea for this programme came from my own experience. After having my daughter in 2022, I was so excited to return to work and have other things to think about than nappies, weaning and sleep schedules.
My manager, who also has two young children, was very understanding and handled my return empathetically and compassionately. Despite that, the challenges still arose a few months after I returned. I started to struggle with imposter syndrome, loss of confidence, self-advocacy and dealing with the mental load of raising a child and maintaining a job that I love. I put pressure on myself to perform as I did before maternity leave and got frustrated when that didn’t happen. I also struggled with the notion that my job was now lower down in my list of priorities, as I now had something that mattered more than anything.
That’s why this couse has been designed to help with the experience I myself had, of:
Loss of confidence
Imposter Syndrome
Self-advocacy
Self-awareness
Dealing with the mental load
Struggling after the initial excitement to return.
